if you have any Qs re: FarCon proposal, drop them here. if you object, please consider if any other potential proposal has generated as much energy or ROI as @farcon already has — the # of sponsors and participants is objectively unmatched. if you want specifics, remember this is a rapidly evolving event / startup.

The funding recipient on the prop is not a 2/3 multisig as stated in the description. Can the transaction be updated still? If not, who owns the address the funds are going to?

as an event and hackathon organizer myself, i think the proposal has to be more detailed i'm totally up to vote for this and i 100% see the ROI, i just think you need to provide more info on how those ETH will be allocated (x% in bounties, y% for this, z% for that blah blah blah) hope i didn't miss anything!

No questions but want to plant the seed of an idea if you have extra funds: Hire a photographer to do some photo journalism. Good photography of early farcaster days could be very valuable to future us. So many excellent farcaster photographers are active here too.

Purple has a huge bias towards retroactive funding, or, save that, funding exact expenses over broad initiatives. I think you'd see almost no objections if you provided the invoices or estimates from vendors showing expenses>10eth and saying "it's for that." Now, I'm voting yes either way because eth is fungible.

You know. When I originally read the proposal I said nah. But after i took a step back and reminded myself of what I have seen behind the scenes and the level of coordination / comms happening i changed my mind. You all are truly busting your chops to deliver a truly beautiful experience. My hat to the crew.

I’m relatively new to purple and DAOs in general, but I think Farcon is absolutely worth a 10 ETH investment. The prop, for me, would be an instant For if it had more details. Is it an $x travel stipend for x individuals? Is it 200 swag items at $40/ea or 50 at $100/ea? Are unused funds added to the hackathon? Etc.

how does 10 eth compare to what the unmatched number of others sponsors have already committed?

Honestly I’m supportive of purple funding farcon, it’s extremely high roi, but get a bit nervous about that it would be 10 out of the 33 ETH in the treasury. So i suppose it’s not a question but that percentage is just the only concern i have. Not a purple voter though
