Wondering about this part Ted: “through hypersub's rewards model, followers are incentivized to discover and subscribe to emerging creators in whom they believe. followers, therefore, have a vested interest in a creator's growth and success.” Do you mean the referral rewards (don’t think they are doing it) or am I missing something?

I think Substack is a great comparison both in terms of a starting point but also where Hypersub can transcend the existing distribution models For example, Substack recently took away my "direct" experience with creators: https://warpcast.com/markfishman/0x367c23c2

hypersub is closer to patreon than substack imo but bc it’s a protocol not a platform, creators get more sovereignty and control over their data than they ever could on substack - and that’s imo the #1 value prop. i.e. there’s technically less a company like fabric can do to stop someone from using their protocol than substack could do on their platform. this enables freedom of speech and experimentation whereas patreon/substack creators could be disenfranchised for posting contrarian content. and ofc inheriting infinitely composable social and financial networks of ethereum identities makes it way more connected than a patreon is - there’s no discovery of new creators or interconnectedness on patreon that actually comes baked into ethereum/hypersub and makes the ux way richer for hypersub users (potentially in the future).

I've long believed that the most exciting potential in web3 is in unlocking creativity and culture - aligning incentives between creators and their communities in the following ways: - connection-wise (e.g., supporting and connecting humans) - status-wise (e.g., "I knew ___ was going to be big - I was there first") - ownership-wise (e.g., I win because you win - I invested in you) But, coming from a non-technical and non-crypto world a couple years ago (simply consumer/culture), I hadn't found or articulated the way this would work. In fact, it's how I want to build and architect my current project. @ted @nonlinear.eth this is eye-opening and am now going deeeeep down the rabbit hole. Would love to see any good examples of people you think are doing this well (yourself included if you're using it). Would also love any thoughts/ideas of how this can be used - some tangible examples. Would also love to jam on ideas sometime, run /comma by you, get your reactions, etc.

"reflecting on this, it is hard to imagine a future in which hypersub is not omnipresent." Agree on this 💯💯💯 It does connect creators directly with their audience and aligns incentives. I think Hypersub is more powerful than any web2 equivalent, because it doesn't look the sub to a specific platform

Summary from my PoV: Hypersub being onchain allows composability that other plattforms like Patreon and Substack hide behind API's that can be taken away or may not even be available. Though to really leverage hypersub that doesn't have any native tooling for communities tools need to integrate it. E.g. Paragraph token gating

Love it, creation and content consumption on chain requires a different infrastructure than liquidity pools or NFT marketplaces. HS is a big innovative step in that direction

I think hypersub will be on every big and important channel in the future. Is a very clean way to get rid of the bots and you also could have a treasure to revert the funds for your subscribers with events or whatsoever
