many DeSo projects focus on user monetization, highlighting it in UX and value props farcaster doesn't, instead focusing on social graph features if you look at human history + academic research, joy and a sense of fulfillment are more significantly influenced by social network than monetary success study humanity

YES! This is how we win. Focus on an experience build on the relationships and connections and the experience will endure. Transactional connections only last as long as there is monetary value to be extracted. Once that's gone *poof* so is the user. ☮️

I couldn’t agree more. The fruit is hanging too low though; it’s too easy to create new fake internet money and attract the first wave of users with it. It’s a drug and this entire industry/ecosystem is addicted.

Agree, that's the reason I build on farcaster. From steemit to deso, maybe lens (maybe), if you release a token in protocol level, all will become zombie network eventually

I think it is not an either or... Agree that social is more impactful on joy and fulfillment when basic needs are met but up until that point financial stress normally dominates. So enabling creators to easily and consistently earn even small amounts of money is meaningful.
