i sometimes see complaints around spam and stagnant channels as a reference point, this is what my twitter DM requests and what reddit's 100th page of top subreddits look like today both have been around for almost 20 years, warpcast has been around for less than 4 reminder that we're not solving easy problems

Yea same, I'm not sure which part of the bots people get mad at? Also to flip it, we are very close to all having many personal bots who do many things for us and we will want them on Warpcast too.

I can't even imagine the amount of notifs you must get. As someone who's new to having notifications blown up, I shudder to think.

My Twitter dms are clean. The spam and some real requests are hidden per default. Aside that, Twitter is about a good feed which has a lot of rage-bait but the spam is mainly in the replies. Reddit is about good subreddits, hence a little more effort. Spam is present in bad subreddits - yet you can scroll some answer without super annoying spam. Warpcast & other clients on Farcaster need to find their niche. Channels to be easy to go through.

I'm a small account and I still get: "Hi" "Open to work?" "how r u?" I think I'm definitely someone who complains. It's just really hard to understand how hard it is unless you're building it (like most things). The recent /latenightcrew with Dan was super insightful to me. And I feel like I'm much more accepting of the things I'm seeing because of it. But I'm not sure everyone has had the luxury of sitting in on that convo. Doing my best to be empathetic yet offer constructive feedback. That is also a skill that I'm developing :)

I think the complaints here are different because who came from twitter to Warpcast expect to see a better version in everything not only this case.

Must be hard to find out who's genuine and who isn't or are you just uninterested in any?

guess the problem is the skewed ratio here - bot /spam to high volume good / average human content. hence more into notice -> top of the mind -> complaints...

I think it's an unsolvable problem. The best we can do is to make things as good as possible, and based on what I've seen with Warpcast so far, I think we can do it.

Every single social media app has them, maybe we could have them be useful in some way as in some games, npcs that give you secondary missions or something
