does anyone else not like being called ser by strangers on the internet. i’m kinda ok if my friends use it to address me once in a while but absolutely not when strangers do it.

i don’t like it either but doesn’t bother me too much because my default assumption is that they don’t know i’m a woman, so they don’t line any better and that they mean it as a term of friendship. @resipsa who may have had similar experiences as me?

i am not the best person to ask— i actually frequently used “ser” to address web3 people in a unisex manner until recently. it’s not unlike how i use “dude” in a unisex manner, just in a more deferential way🎩 i found it empowering for the same reasons that other people might find it a microaggression
