why don’t people form small groups (3-5) around an interest, create a channel, and cast/reply to each other? it could: 1. amplify reach (shared audiences) 2. create richer, more dynamic discussions (shared effort) 3. build deeper connections maybe it feels like extra work or it’s hard to find each other?

I will say I've searched on Farcaster to see if there's a channel for something (Blueprint) and, not finding anything, decided not to cast about it because I doubted I'd get any interesting responses. Is it easy to create a channel these days?

yeah, can still create somewhat easily (2500 warps)! not seeing the content is deterrent for me, too, whether it’s searching for a channel or searching for the content itself (warpcast has bad search so it often doesn’t get me what I want to see).

I have created 10 channels and counting. Responded to @ccarella.eth yesterday abt me being a serial domain name buyer. Whenever I have the inkling of an idea for something, I register a domain - but now I make a channel. I just made /hyperfy and already there’s 27 followers. Channels were an invaluable feature addition for WC. I agree with you that they are under-utilized. Perhaps if there was a “merge channels” option ppl would be willing to join forces. It is hard to build a community. The constantly shifting landscape of FC and WC add an order of complexity to that.
