exploring other corners of LA this weekend. boating in Long Beach last night, followed by Ballast Point and then surfed the Cove in Palos Verdes early this AM — loved the Big Sur vibes, but with much warmer water :)

i was with a local so hard to say! i've gone on other days with an okay (not great) swell and didn't find it to be that competitive or exclusive. disclaimer: i am a chick and i feel like locals always go easier on us

@ted Is there any hint of localism at the Cove? Lunada Bay a few coves down is notorious for it but I’ve never been sure about the Cove despite growing up there
