something i’ve observed anecdotally and loosely validated qualitatively is that someone’s reply:quotecast ratio when contributing to a conversation correlates to their ego (how they see themselves vs the rest of the community). not always a bad thing, but i’ll leave it at that. study people who reply > quotecast

Other people would definitely see your reply when you're replying to them. But it's not guaranteed that you see my reply (this one). Im nobody, so when im quotecasting im only doing it to reply in a way it makes a separate notification in your stack of notifications 🙂
