Economically-aligned DAOs will outperform Democracy-aligned DAOs in the same way that capitalist economies outperform socialist economies. The latter are the standard today only because regulatory roadblocks prevent the former from being implemented at scale. (re-reading @milesjennings "Machiavellian DAOs")

The funny thing is economically aligned DAOs will ultimately be much more decentralized than DAOs that are just democratically aligned because they’ll pull more active participants into the ecosystem who are all fighting for economic gain, and they’d reduce the number of free riders.

It's surprising that so few of the great lessons on governance have yet been applied to DAOs When DAOs are not purely oligarchic, they tend to apply a facile version of democracy that doesn't make sense from either (1) observation of human behavior or (2) record of political history Thanks for bumping @milesjennings
