One thing I’ve longed for in the space - particularly SWEs in crypto - is salary transparency 

Many “globally remote” companies advertise one number, and then pay a different number depending on your location 

Sites like levels/glassdoor don’t have enough data points on this either

For someone looking to move countries, it’s weird not knowing what it would mean in terms of pay

I think most people don't want to disclose our salaries, but at the same time we would love to know the actual salaries in our industry. 

That's a typical problem looking for a ZK-proof solution, right?

Good idea! Probably could do a zk salary for a company but you’d have to make sure the organization has multiple people of the same title or it would be obvious who it was lol

That’s a valid point. Though location would have to be self reported right now, geolocation coordinates could be a bit more reliable,  if not perfect either.

It's probably easier to start with cities, countries or regions instead of companies. I think most value comes from knowing what a senior rust dev makes in Bay Area, vs how much the senior rust dev in company A makes.
