Capital wants to be as efficient as possible. "Give me the highest ROI for the least amount of capital input". AI is essentially capital's final form of leverage. "Let me accomplish infinitely more possible things at an ever decreasing cost". In practical terms, yes this does harm labor. It's why it's important that AI is accessible to as many of possible, so that all people are playing the "Capital Game".

https://msty.app/ this uses open source models via Ollama but the front end is not open source but its good. But this is an easy, quick rec to use open source models (prob the more important side of things). To go fully open source its not super quick. Install Ollama (which is easy but has terminal only interface) and then Open WebUI is a decent front end (there are tons of front ends for ollama and playing with them all is a hobby in itself). https://ollama.com/ https://openwebui.com/
