I love shipping. Nothing gives me more joy, but there is always the fear that maybe I’m forgetting some tiny detail that will make for a poor experience or something will go wrong I understand continuous improvement, but the feeling still remains.

ya same. I tend to naturally put a premium on missing details and a discount on details that didn’t matter and wasted time. I have an active process to ignore this tendency, focus on getting the big stuff right and shipping. Most mistakes don’t matter and can be fixed fast.

It’s that feeling that keeps your integrity high and always aiming to do your best. Consider re-wiring your brain to seek that feeling rather than avoid it.

Fully relate. I was a Product Manager before getting into dev, so I really struggle with this at times. I would venture that it probably never goes away, you just get better at prioritizing, preparing backup plans, and improvising if necessary. Better to have shipped and lost than never shipped at all 🫡 (probably)
