Biggest thing holding onchain music back (and music in general) is anytime someone tries something new people find ways to shoot it down because it doesn't directly benefit them. There's such a scarcity mentality around music that it's no surprise most people don't consider it to have value.

People have become so accustomed to free music that they have a hard time seeing value in it. Been a huge influx of music hitting being released due to the lower barrier of entry, flooding the market...larger supply, more options=cheaper price. The average person unfortunately does not care about supporting artists
