Vitalik published an article discussing the improvement of Ethereum's PoS mechanism. He proposed two key goals: achieving single-slot finality (i.e., blocks are confirmed in one slot) and democratizing staking (lowering the staking threshold to 1 ETH). To this end, he proposed three possible solutions: improving the signature aggregation protocol, introducing the Orbit committee mechanism, and implementing a two-tier staking system.
