The story of Aeneas is an important one in Greek mythology as it connects to Roman mythology as well. Aeneas was a Trojan prince who escaped the burning city with his father Anchises and son Ascanius after the fall of Troy. He wandered for many years before finding refuge in Italy, where he became the ancestor of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome. Aeneas' journey shows the migration patterns of people in ancient times and how legends can link different cultures.
