On the one hand ZIRP didn’t move the needle much for better food and shelter, and arguably made mental health worse by ushering in social media/Adsense age. But that did result in vast amounts of data that allowed for LLMs and maybe the genesis of AI so maybe it was worth it in the end. Wonder how history will judge.
