The biggest hurdle would be to avoid capture. Strange looking barbarian who doesn't speak Latin? To the slave pens with you.
I doubt there's anything you could say to convince people you're from the future. It might get you killed more than anything. Instead, I'd play it as someone from a distant land, where unknown knowledge exists.
If this is not against the spirit of your challenge, I'd suggest exploiting the clothes rule to come with something flashy, embroided with diamonds, gold... Something you could trade for, and flamboyant enough you could pass as a rich prince from abroad.
Then as you secure resources and start to learn Latin, you also focus on gathering materials for trivial electric experiments. Copper and iron, glass, cloth, vinegar. You build a voltaic pile, an electromagnet, and try to make a tiny light/glow.
Hopefully you convince a few people with that experience. You pool resources and efforts to build basic water wheels and wind turbines. 1 reply
