if everything is just representable as n dimensional matrices, and linear transformations (rotations, shearing, transformations, scaling etc) are all a labor of time and energy, and matmul under pins it all, it kinda makes sense, that if you do this over and over, you get something really intelligent

Obsidian has completed a second independent audit by the security firm Cure53. The report finds that incremental updates since Obsidian 1.5.3 maintained the highest degree of attention to security, and that no new vulnerabilities were introduced. https://obsidian.md/blog/cure53-second-client-audit/ Particular emphasis was placed on hardening the Web viewer plugin during its development process, to ensure it would pass our strict security standards. We're proud to report that the Cure53 team reviewed the resolutions and concluded that their recommendations have been properly followed. We make Obsidian so we can capture our own private thoughts and ideas. Independent audits help us ensure that our code and procedures meet the highest security standards. We will continue working with industry-leading security firms to provide comprehensive coverage and transparency towards this commitment.

Nasreddin Hodja & Matsuo Basho Two writers that I think are famous in their native countries, but deserve more credit, and are more alike than are often thought. Nasreddin Hodja (13th century) & Matsuo Basho (17th century) imo both have a way of describing the world through Hegelian Synthesis. They both like to take a normal idea as the thesis (sitting on a donkey) and add an antithesis (ride the donkey backwards) and then have the synthesis (I am not riding the donkey backwards, the donkey is going backwards and i'm riding the right way) With Basho you see it in his Haiku (he is the father of Haiku after all) has the ultimate thesis (nature, he likes to describe nature a lot) and then there is some disruption: artificial, or human - and it opposes or breaks this nature (antithesis) - and then there is a sort of resolution that comes from this - which ends in wabi-sabi or Yugen (synthesis)
