been having some issues casting to certain channels, where the dropdown says "not available" even though I've posted to them before

I haven't been online and casting very much this past month, did I miss some kind of update to channels that would cause this?

So ya…. Farcaster Armageddon kinda happened. They made all channels membership only and gave the major ones to random people. Now most bigger channels like /music and /politics have been co opted by people without jobs that are deciding who gets to post or not. 

Along with this change, super low effort AI agent bots took over the feed for weeks. Those devs then ran out of money for credits and realized AI training is hard so they went away in about 2 weeks. 

From those 2 changes + election drama FC is pretty much cratered right now. Day usage data has been down and to the right since the day channels changes happened. 

I’m still positive that something can be majorly changed again to recorrect but I’m just telling into my own channel most days now.

Yup. You now need to be a member of a channel to top level cast. You can reply though. Look underneath the channel banner image and there's usually some guidance on how to become a member.
