What are the most cracked shows of the early 2000s/start of the Golden Era of television?

Right now I’m double fisting Sopranos and Six Feet Under. 

I unfortunately have a lot of time on my hands so I’m taking recommendations.

Idk why I could never get into the first season of true detective? It’s very much my kinda show. 

Agree though. Some shows I loved at some point aged like milk and even if I still watch them, if I started them today I wouldn’t make it through a single episode. 

Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under are masterpieces. 

It’s cool how suddenly in the late 90s they started taking TV more seriously. I just read that sopranos was the first tv show shot in widescreen and it makes such a big difference.
