Reading some confidential information and all I can say is that what Farcaster is missing the most is a truely non crypto client. A client that goes back to first principles of what do current social media users miss and how can we communicate it effectively to them, that we have the solution. Warpcast is the 'everyone app' which channel focused onboarding may solve, but that's not here as of 2024-10-23 Supercast is the crypto users social app with the ecosystem tab and now wildcard who I thought would be that app being sunset recast is a nice mobile app client with translations, there's a client for the asian market, the degen community and butterfly for lens x farcaster as well as phaser and yup serving these cross platform communities. Drakula being tokenized TikTok (aka crypto user focused imo) Who's building the absolutely not a crypto client client? Would love to chat!

can you clarify what would qualify as a non crypto client? warpcast doesn’t do anything explicitly crypto. are you looking for one that filters out crypto content?

Doesn’t need to filter non crypto content just provide way more of that content somehow and have onboarding that feels close and not like jumping into a cold pool of tools and confusion If I tell some of my friends that they have to buy a hypersub with their wallet and first get Coinbase to have the currency to do so and then they can cast into a channel they won’t even bother coming back to the app

oh got it, so much of the experience you want to avoid has to do with some of the new channel experiences. in that case, i imagine an embedded wallet client could help solve those areas of friction. if supercast someday obfuscated all wallet actions, would that achieve your goals or would it also need to hide the explicitly crypto (token) features as well?

yep, maybe. though it's not only about abstracting the wallet UX. much of FC beyond transaction frames isn't wallet UX. Hypersub stripe isn't that widely spread but is a path to no wallet there it's more about content, social alignment and app ux that's why channel specific onboarding is so interesting to me

i agree. more apps need to utilize specific channels (and only specific channels) for their community communication
