I’m running into an issue that only happens on Base mainnet on MetaMask. The gas fee is not able to estimated, then it shows a very high amount.  Has anyone else run into this? Other wallets and networks Aren’t showing this problem

that often happens when the tx is being reverted and the mm simulator can’t estimate gas. this is occurring on other local test chains? i assume you’re forking base mainnet to local in this example?

because knowing is finding the limits /outercorps

to be more specific, you might want to verify you have the local chain you want - if your local chain is forking mainnet or optimism or base, the address could actually be a contract and you could be trying to send eth to a non-payable contract and getting reverted

by “fork” i meant how you’re setting up your local testnet

might want to check if you’re on the chain you expect - your destination address could unexpectedly be a contract
