1. It seems just as easy as it ever was but now I’m aware of how much effort a real friendship requires. I think this was always true but it wasn’t obvious that’s what all the effort was. Now I know so I’m less inclined to casually walk myself into that

3. I find it easy to be personable and friendly, but not to make new friends that I see consistently. Moving a lot in 20s and 30s doesn’t help.

1. I make friends very naturally and because I’m an outgoing person I usually can keep up with people and work to maintain relationships

1. Not binary imo but definitely lean yes more than no As I've gotten older, friendship has changed from *we talk every day and see each other every wknd* to *circumstantial contexts, i.e. in the same work, family, social, community orbit* It's a different cadence, but I've seen it build to friendship a few times

3 Friend is someone you hang out with on a routine basis and develop a relationship from which you can depend on each other. This becomes hard as you have kids and other requirements that take away from free time you’d spend with other people.

2, which is funny because I've not gone out of my way to nurture a new friendship for a while now.

3. I think the term 'friend' has a slightly different meaning as you get older. I have many friends that I respect, but they're not the same friends I had when I was in school.

1. I really enjoy making friends with people because I can easily make them happy and also gain happiness from others. Of course, sometimes I may be disliked by others, even though I am not aware of it at the time.

1. There are degrees of friendship. It’s easy enough to make new friends even with kids (in fact I’d say they help considerably), but close friends? That’s a different kettle of fish.
