TON integrates with LayerZero for cross-chain asset transfers: The Open Network, also known as TON, has integrated with the interoperability protocol LayerZero for cross-chain asset transfers across more than 100 blockchains — beginning with Ethereum, Tron, Solana and nine other chains. TON's integration with LayerZero aims to help solve the former's limitations in liquidity and access to other blockchain's major crypto assets by providing access to multi-chain liquidity. According to a press release, "TON is now able to deliver sustainable liquidity and improve accessibility to its ecosystem, setting the stage for widespread adoption."

U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his "America-first" stance regarding cryptocurrency. Speaking via livestream at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump touted his administration's early initiatives and said the U.S. will become "the world capital" of crypto. “The United States has the largest amount of oil and gas of any country on Earth, and we're going to use it," Trump said Thursday morning. "Not only will this reduce the cost of virtually all goods and services, it will make the United States a manufacturing superpower and the world capital of artificial intelligence and crypto.”

Trump-backed World Liberty Financial swaps approximately $90 million worth of stablecoins for ETH, WBTC and other tokens- World Liberty Financial, the Trump-backed DeFi protocol, is swapping stablecoins for wrapped bitcoin (WBTC) and Ethereum’s native token ether, onchain data shows. The project is also apparently loading up on Chainlink's LINK, Ethena's ENA and TRON's TRX tokens. Beginning about three hours ago (at press time), the project began sending outflows of its USDC and USDT stablecoin holdings to CoW Swap, the low-cost decentralized exchange named for the "coincidence of wants" economic theory.
