casting anon because truthfully i'm afraid to cast this not-anon. women of farcaster: 1. what existing rights is the newly elected president taking away from you? 2. why is it assumed people who vote Trump hate women or condone SA? it is okay to be a single-issue voters on non-policy related (like SA, which majority of us condone) but not okay for people to be single-issue voters on crypto? 3. if you immediately call someone racist, sexist, homophobic, dumb, etc. for their vote without asking "why?", how do you expect them to react? do ad hominem attacks create space for mutual understanding required to move society forward?

1. i don't know. i've asked this to a couple of women and answers are losing their right to vote or have a credit card, but i can't find concrete evidence of anywhere? it isn't part of Trump's policy. for gays, they are afraid they are going to lose the right to marry but not part of his policy either and Trump stood in front of the UN and launched a campaign to de-criminalize homosexuality so i don't get it. 2. i also don't get this. i have female friends who are victims of SA and they still voted for trump because they felt it was the better option to take care of their family based on outlined policies instead of moral symbolism. 3. i also don't get this. pot meet kettle?

(I am not a women) 1. Trump replaced 3 supreme court justices in which I think all actually stated that "Roe vs. Wade" was a super-precedent. Given chance, they overturned it and moved it to each state to make a decision. Decision by the supreme court immediately resulted in loss of rights women had in certain states. Democrats should have codified it with Obama when they had the chance, but does not change the fact that Trump is somewhat responsible as he was the one who nominated these justices. In terms of "newly elected president taking away from you" — he stated he won't do a national ban on abortion. I would not be shocked if he is lying or he is truthful. Trust him at your own peril. It makes sense to me that women electors may not. 2. Being a "single-issue" voter imo is a privileged position. No candidate should be dumbed down to a binary outcome. Politics are multi-faceted. 3. Overall agree its unproductive. However, not everyone is entitled to get every opinion they have entertained seriously.

IMO (as a right leaning woman without TDS) 1. None technically, but there are more abortion restrictions in red states as a result of his Supreme Court picks. 2. Media extremism and guilt tripping. Media has convinced many women that if someone supports trump, it means they don’t take SA allegations seriously. If you don’t take SA seriously, then you are potentially a threat to women. It’s easy to make the logic jump of, “oh that guy doesn’t think SA is a problem, so he might SA me, and nobody will believe me and oh no if I get pregnant then I might not be able to get an abortion.” Then group think happens and you get tons of women convinced that SA is gonna rise and forced births are gonna happen. Not to mention, the women who aren’t convinced of ⬆️ are afraid of speaking up about that bc when they do they are called “bad women” “pick me girls” or “a disgrace to women.” Easier to be silent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok I'll bite -- an answer in multiple parts: 1. what existing rights is the newly elected president taking away from you? The president-elect in his last term was responsible for the overturn of Roe via strategically selected justices that were appointed for that purpose. This was a key reason he was voted in during 2016 and he selected his nominees from a list from the Federalist Society. He was very proud of this fact. These nominees led to the overturn of Roe which led to the state abortion bans that are causing havoc on women’s reproductive health. They are losing OB/GYNs in Texas already, women have died due to denial of care, and this will be a decades long problem for women all over the country but particularly in the south. (btw I have a whole rant about Dems on this issue too) This is already a done deal but causing some of the sentiment you may have seen. Other fears around Project 2025 and calls for the repeal of the 19th Amendment among other crazy things may also be part of this concern.

How about you tell them the real reason why you think being a rapist and pedophile is a non-issue when it comes to voting for a candidate

I did this and I was said I’m acting in bad faith 😂 But I believe that trump did say that he believes that women who have abortions. There was also him being quoted saying that women should be grabbed by the pussy. Finally. A lot of people believe that his actions are racist, and the people he cohorts with are also racist. I don’t have it in me to argue. But people are right in it being helpful if you are curious to just ask women how they feel. It’s up to you really.

I think you've highlighted a major problem with elections. No one has time to investigate the full ramifications of electing someone so they vote based on 1-3 trigger issues, like A is going to fire Gary Gensler or B is going to reinstate abortion rights--even if the candidate can't actually deliver on the promise.
