Zora and Rodeo rely on low cost, high volume business models. Onchain creators are skeptical. Yet, neither exudes confidence in brand messaging: -Zora: you post here -Rodeo: you experiment here Zora's token model wins, but they need to onboard the existing talented onchain creators who remain skeptical (more interesting content actually true here. I’ve been playing around with minting ever since our chat. I’ve even had a few people collect! As I earn sparks I collect other people’s work. The flywheel is there for sure. It's amazing that referral sparks are so satisfying despite the feed being a wip (lots of repeats, old updates, etc). I think with some improvements browsing will be way more enjoyable in-app, but totally agree it's not there yet

Why sparks though? What was the impetus for that. It’s a turn off for me. Why not just deal in eth/base-eth/zora-eth?

To hazard a guess, I would say it likely has to do with abstracting some of the blockchain complexity away from the non-crypto native user base they’re trying to attract. It also functions similar to a casino chip in that it feels like you’re giving away “play money” rather than buying something.
