What is something that you learned as an adult that you wish you had understood when you were a child?

For me it’s that it’s a ok to say no. If you don’t feel like doing something then it’s ok to just politely say no. You don’t have to go along with the crowd. You can forge your own path and people will still like you even if you don’t share all the same interests and do all the same things as them.

What’s yours?

For me, it would have been helpful to realize that life isn’t infinite And that our bodies have their limits. Also, I wish I had recognized how essential it is to envision an ideal, set goals, and create a plan to achieve them.

Now I believe life can be seen as a project, with each of us as the project manager. We don’t need to navigate life on autopilot like a robot but instead, we can actively shape and direct it with intention.

Great lessons! I think we don’t appreciate our health until we no longer have it. This is a big one and so hard to comprehend when we are young. I like your way of thinking about being the project manager of your own life. Thanks for sharing.
