definitely underestimated we're on October 18, so not even three months ago, sitting at 71,500 total tx and vast majority of those are coin flips 🫤 the good news is, I think that timeframe alone accounts for ½ of total tx from the past year, we'll see ig

Just looked it up and I guess they don't throw you in jail at all if you non-maliciously fuck up your taxes, that's just a meme. It looks like they can annoy you for several years tho.

So, when I do my taxes I can just upload the csv that'll have well over 100k transaction, right. Hmm. I hope so. Plus whatever I can pull from Coinbase and whatnot? Pretty I should've filed quarterly taxes at least once last year, but I don't think they throw you in jail for not doing that.

Alright, we're well-underway with the full tx history project. While I wait for that, I'm thinking I could get started on that wallet-that's-also-a-general-ledger idea. At least, I could figure out the chart of accounts and the best approach with Postgres. It'd be nice to revisit my double-entry bookkeeping days.

honestly i'm fearful because i really don't want to know how much Sui i've lost on coin flips but if you include leaderboard winnings and VIP bonuses, it shouldn't be too bad in the end

finishing up a script to pull my entire tx history on Sui, just doing some testing with regard to rate limits (appears to be 250 tx/minute) and csv output. once I run the full script it should only take about 7 hours to pull everything :>
