The good news is that Degen plans to change the airdrop rules for the next season, using staking and locking mechanisms to provide more allowances to long-term holders. The staking period will start at one year. However, the current season's airdrop distribution heavily favors power badge holders, creating a huge gap compared to regular users. These power badge holders can easily maintain high allowances next season, while regular users must spend significantly to catch up. Previous actions have caused significant discontent within the community, and the official team has largely ignored these complaints. Despite the decision to make changes, the damage is irreparable, and the comment sections on platforms like X are filled with criticism. In summary, now is not a good time to buy in. We need to remain observant, track rule changes, and pay attention to the reactions of regular users within the community.
