a long time ago I downloaded the vim bindings vs code extension I still use a couple of shortcuts that I find useful but that's about it, maybe this course is what I need to make the jump

a great way to get started with vim is to install vimium browser extension and learn the bindings while browsing the web. Also essential to ESC to the caps lock key.
