The main problem is that Safari blocks popups that are not triggered by an interaction

It’s possible to launch the browser wallet directly if it supports the browser redirecting protocol that the gateway uses. Open Browser Wallet supports this, so an improvement that can be made is to update the url that is opened once the connection is established to be the wallet itself instead of the gateway to skip that extra button press
