The fundamental issue with consumer crypto today is lack of consumers. 

Consumers need interesting or entertaining content to stick around.

Sign ups are irrelevant if you can’t retain them.

Everything else is a marginal improvement at best.

it's obvious that there aren't consumers when we're all the same ones trying the apps and jumping from one to another depending on their incentives or fomo because our friends got access first

here's an idea to expand the target user base while still building for the farcaster community: don't make people create a wallet and deposit funds; allow only "sign in with farcaster." if they don't have an account, gift them one, and make their onboarding into the protocol through your app

ofc, 'build something fun/people want,' but maybe that insight will come from implementing a small button on the sign-in page
