These days a STARK is < 100 kB, for off-chain use cases that amount of bandwidth is utterly trivial compared to the client-side prover time savings that come from using STARKs.

Once a friend of mine decided to invest in cryptocurrency, but was completely new to this field. After much thought, he bought his first bitcoins and was very proud of himself. He happily went to a coffee shop to celebrate, and there he met another acquaintance who was also involved in cryptocurrencies. Talking about his success, my friend proudly stated: "I became a real crypto investor! I bought as much as 0.01 bitcoin!"
