I'm the youngest of 5 kids. My mom babied me a lot when I was growing up. DRIVING? Oh no, out of the question. I had to ask them to drive me anywhere. Mom didn't mind so much, my dad was a different story. So I decided I was gonna learn to drive. A couple of family members helped, but we didn't get far. I put it to the side for the time being. Then I moved out. Having to taxi everywhere was getting costly. So I decided to take driving lessons. There was a lot of yelling and frustration involved. I failed the driving test twice. The one thing that helped me keep going was my grandmother. She passed away and always wished I had my license. I had always lamented to her about how upsetting it was not being able to do much. So with her memory in mind, I kept practicing, took the driving test for a third time and at long last, was rewarded with my license. There were times I honestly never thought it would happen, but I preserved, pushed through the struggles, and set out what I aimed to do.
