Interesting stuff. It kind of lost me tho with the bit about trying to create a better future being a despairing path. Especially the bit about Faith in the order of things. It reminded me of that old joke (Jewish, Christian versions at the least exist of it) that more recently goes something a man of faith is on the roof as flood waters rise, a rescue boat, another boat and helicopter pass by and the man refuses, saying God will save him. He dies in the flood, and meets God and asks why he was forsaken, God says "I sent 2 boats and a helicopter, what more did you want?". If there is a divine order, then those working for a better future would surely be a part of it.
