yeah I don't mind "creator" personally but "content" is just, oof. there's no good alternative though that encompasses every type of, ahem... content

in many contexts yes, but e.g. talking about what users post on a social network... what all-in-one term substitutes? it has to cover words *and* video, conversation *and* broadcast, etc.

there doesn't need to be. you can use many words that aren't worthless like "content"
