I'd be concerned that coins don't have enough cash flow / ongoing value. In terms of earning a sustainable living, nothing really beats subscriptions

The challenge is that subscriptions work best for a specific type of writer: - recurring - longer-form - in-depth - paywalled (thus decreasing distribution) If someone posts a couple banger essays a year and wants them to be distributed as far & wide as possible, it's very improbable they could make subscriptions work. These are the type of things we're excited about finding ways to reward & increase distribution.
