As a creator I find this difficult. Getting some earnings from NFT mints is workable. It needs some marketing acumen, maybe more than I have, but that's okay.
I'm not a trader though. Monitoring the market to make the right trades at the right time is not what I want to add to my creative process.
It's too bad, but I need to focus elsewhere.

mental model is different. as a collector, I'm not really looking to profit necessarily, and the whole "this is a thing you trade" framing is off-putting. I don't want art to be memecoins

I dislike this about clanker meta too, although to proxy's credit he's boosted the longer-term projects in that eco and there are non-meme clankers

why do you think these are more ephemeral than anything else? could argue they are less ephemeral bc more likely to have constant attention vs an illiquid asset

Same, it's a terrible direction and not the answer to the Solana trenches that Base has been trying so hard to come up with with their new "smart coin" psyop
