The anticipation effect is the effect that anticipation of future events has on our current behavior. Anticipating an event can be more satisfying than the event itself. For example, the anticipation of a weekend during the work week is often overestimated, and the weekend itself does not bring the previously predicted intense positive emotions. Anticipation is a normal cognitive mechanism that allows us to prepare for the future, evaluate it, and reduce uncertainty. When we envision a future outcome based on previous experiences, we create a mental representation of how that outcome will look and feel. This provides motivation and goal-directed behavior. A major marker of the influence of the anticipation effect is the preference for quick rewards over long-term rewards. Every decision made in trading must pass through the lens of the long-run influence. The main objective is to survive today in order to return to the market tomorrow 👽

Anticipating the thrill of the game can sometimes be more satisfying than the game itself. The excitement leading up to a match fuels our passion for the sport and keeps us coming back for more. It's all about the journey, not just the destination!
