Has anyone else used Bard/Gemini and been told that it needs to come back to you with an answer later? Is this a persistent hallucination or an actual feature?

Wait it originally worked for you??? Isn’t that far more agentic than is possible today? I assumed it was telling me it it needed time and then when pressed later it was providing answers as if it had looked itself.

Yes, I had Bard find the original source of a video game trailer. It spent a few hours finding old Nintendo Power magazines and IGN pages. I also had it do research on local history and it looked for days on multiple topics. 

However since the changes lately it seems unable to do this but insists it can.

That's the reason, they still need some human factor to make sure it work as expected
