This was an excellent action movie. I had never heard of Aaron Pierre before this movie but what an awesome performance. There are several scenes where he really shines.

This movie also highlights an issue that is important to me—civil asset forfeiture. Police departments all over the U.S. are stealing cash from innocent citizens to help fund their discretionary budgets. It’s always about the money. 

I have been a victim to this practice, having over $4000 in cash seized in 2017 without any evidence for a crime. The cost to recover would have been higher than what was seized. Seeing it highlighted in a movie gives me some hope that this issue can still be fixed one day. Probably not though.

It was actually so goood
I just felt like the ending needed more, hopefully there’s a part two cause I didn’t like how it ended

We didn’t know what happened to his cousin, did he get justice for the money they took, did the corrupt officers face the law

So many unanswered questions Mehn, I didn’t know the civil forfeiture was even a real thing till I looked it up

Haha that’s what my mom and wife said too!
