If were making a new version of Rocket League, what would you do differently?

Emphasis on different maps. I've always hated that they reversed their strategy around this. The problem was always badly designed maps, not that different maps existed

BTW i worked for the RLCS until ~2020 and built octane.gg (sold to shiftrle.gg) so my opinion comes more from the competitive side

More than just the standard field. Every new map is just a reskin now. It makes the gameplay more monotonous and less interesting competitively imo. Think of something like CS where there's different strategies to employ depending on what map you're playing.

Yes, YES! I get that they wanted to standardize the maps. But I miss the old Neo Tokyo map (as flawed as it was) and the original Wasteland map was so cool!
