PABLO PICASSO (1881 - 1973)

The Spaniard, one of the outstanding geniuses of the twentieth century, lived in France and left the world amazing works in different spheres. He was a designer, painter, sculptor and graphic artist. Sometimes he parodied famous masterpieces of the classics, then returned to the exploration of twentieth-century art. Experiments with the search for textures resulted in paintings complemented by scraps of old newspapers and wrapping paper in a collage on the theme of three musicians.
