farcaster with framesv2 + warpcast wallet we know that the cost of creation of software is in rapid freefall; this is turning software into a new form of media, where software "creators" will become the next youtubers or ig influencers. study smallbrain for example. the logical next conclusion is a great place for a consumer company to be is the instagram or yt/tiktok *of software* as they are to images and videos. maybe warpcast leaning into framesv2 could make it more about being this app for the next generation of software-as-media. the crypto component provides native monetization rails for software creators. the protocol part provides auto identity/auth/social graph for the software that is created on the platform. i used to think farcaster was "programmable social" but maybe it's the inverse: social software

i don't think Warpcast will be it to be honest, unless it gets rid of all the twitter like features and redesigns a new experience centered around frames from scratch. wouldn't be surprised an app like this goes viral (@dwr.eth)

Yeah I’ve been thinking this as well! Though I don’t think programmable social is necessarily the inverse of social software. I think it’s more synonymous? I think we’re in the era moving beyond “post” to just… the experience itself. Honestly it’s probably something more akin to “web5” (with web4 being the semantic web that we’re seeing with AI)

I agree on the logic behind this but you need demand to have a balanced market. It’s like the micro saas movements. A lot of builders building useless products. On top of that here we are facing the next level barrier, which is to bring people on chain. Nothing impossible but, we need a plan
