my two cents and in-good-faith interpretation of "not enough interesting content": @dwr.eth DOES NOT mean that current users aren't interesting enough @dwr.eth DOES mean that there are not enough of us so that the supply of interesting content on warpcast simply cannot compete with the supply on other platforms

I know for a fact that heaps of artists left because they’d get next to no interaction on their casts. If FC wants artists to come back, they need to up their visibility. Artists are great users because they show up everyday and cast a lot of quality work.

> Artists are great users because they show up everyday and cast a lot of quality work. I think one issue for a lot of artists on Farcaster is they cast *only* their work, without much other context, interaction, etc. - which actually doesn't end up being that great content for most users There are a lot of artists on here who do quite well imo, despite it being a text-based platform - because they also engage/participate outside of just posting a stream of art

For sure, it has to go both ways Artistic lifestyle requires an element of marketing, and Warpcast superchargers the marketing side of things But if your image resolution is drastically reduced and most people can’t post videos 🤷‍♂️ that’s why most of my artist friends left, especially animators, who have some of the most engaging content on the internet We also need a way for new users to not get flagged in “other” replies.c because then no one sees them or engage and they feel unheard/unseen

This is very true. Have seen this with a few artists I've onboarded to Farcaster. However, I wish learning the Farcaster context was more lightweight and that there were some more simple, novel social experiences to help motivate folks to learn the context. Doubly hard with the language barrier as well.

agree w this too. you cant come here and treat it like twitter... throw up some work and not say anything. you have to add context or it's just ignored or flagged as spam. but really, artists are some of the most valuable users on wc

I agree, there are some that do well, I’m in a pretty good place but so many others struggle and end up leaving. Interesting point on artists sharing only their own work. It’s kind of what being an artist is about. Our shares are our portfolio but I do think there are a fair few who share other work or spend time interacting through comments/replies. I’ll be more aware to stretch out more when I can.
