Outside of art, not sure what the point of collecting an NFT is.

I've talked about this privately with a bunch of people but surprised it's not discussed more publicly.

what I landed on is that minting may be less about owning/“collecting” the NFT object and more about a new medium of communicating w the creator

I would agree, I think communication is interesting. Reminds me of snapchat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykGXIQAHLnA. I would think it's less so to the creator (notice me senpai) and more so seeking status from a broader audience (at least in the west).

Begs the question then, what other interesting ways are there to communicate that status? Instagram for NFTs is the current meta but okay, what else?

Agree one-to-many collect pattern doesn’t need to be the final form. More room for experimentation there
