i guess if most users are bots deployed to do a ton of microtxns then the costs add up, but atp for regular human users nobody is really thinking or caring about gas costs, it's all ~negligible

I think gas golf ⛳️ was more of a 2021 thing - when sites like gas . wtf showed you that you spent 14 eth in a few months on gas
