planning to re sub to one of the AIs — are people preferring gpt or claude these days?

Claude is incomprehensibly better for certain tasks imo

I have subscriptions to both, but mainly use the API for Claude. I prob pay around 200-300 dollars per month in prompting for my personal stuff alone just fyi

I recently used Claude for the first time. And I was shocked at how different of an experience it was. It felt like collaborating with an actual person, and felt so natural

Yeah, exactly! It’s not like an assistant at all. It feels exactly like having a conversation with a coworker. Passing ideas back and forth and iterating on them together, vs directing it toward producing something. Which, for writing, I really liked.

I have no need for an LLM that I coax into writing out my own predetermined vision. Because I’d rather I write that myself. But I do have a need for an LLM that can help me work through my thoughts. And that’s what Claude felt more like.

YES. i've struggled to articulate it, but this is why i haven't looked back. Claude feels comfortable and familiar. i've actually set up my daily journal as a Project -- because Claude feels like a friend, not an assistant.
