Fun fact: The man on the right—Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov—is actually a Crimean Tatar. We went to the same school in Crimea, about 10 years apart, long before the annexation.

Building /recaster and other farcaster tools

We've met few times for sure before his political career, but I doubt he remembers me :) In general, Crimean Tatars are a small circle (300k population), there are people I know who know him well, and especially after annexation, among those who've lived in Kyiv.

There is another guy from our school - Arsen Zhumadilov, who recently became the head of Defense Procurement Agency.

Crimean Tatars have been through so much, so we all carry a “geopolitics gene”. More of us should just activate it :)
