Not ocean towns, but I like St George Utah (Kayenta) and we’ve been itching to go to Sedona … though I feel like I’d just do nature hikes than writing lol

Yeah. Not a dealbreaker but preferably not too snowy. Same for it just being too cold generally. 😅

... Thinking about it a bit more, March might still be too snowy for what you're looking for. Late April/May you start hitting mud season but maybe not March.

Nederland CO or really most of the mountain ski towns in CO (Breck, Aspen) might hit these asks if you find the right Airbnb. If you're feeling really adventurous, Crested Butte fits it perfectly but is a bit of a haul from DIA.
